Function Description
Container gantry cranes are mainly used for container loading, unloading, handling, and stacking in container railway turning yards and large container storage and transportation yards. In terms of time, they are mainly put into operation in container hub ports, using non cantilever, single cantilever, or double cantilever methods, which are determined based on the site, container storage and transportation process flow, and loading and unloading vehicles (container trucks or railway vehicles).
The container gantry crane not only requires the addition of tracks in the container yard, but also outperforms the tire type container gantry crane in terms of container height, container positioning accuracy control, anti roll performance, and steel structure stress state. Due to the use of track type, it can withstand greater loads by increasing the number of wheels. Therefore, the track type container gantry crane has a large span and high site utilization rate. In the middle of the span, 8-15 containers are generally stacked with one or more lanes. Due to the use of power cables, the power output is stable, there is no exhaust emissions, low noise, good environmental performance, good positioning ability, and can provide a fast and effective container storage and retrieval system, making it easy to achieve yard automation, If combined with automatic handling vehicles or box moving transport machines, high operational efficiency can be achieved, resulting in higher operating speed and efficiency of the machinery.
The container gantry crane adopts a double cantilever structure and is used for loading and unloading operations at the container terminal. The crane can move longitudinally, horizontally, and autonomously, and can handle container operations up to 20.40 standard
